Who we are

Buckingham Capital Consulting Ltd (we, us) is the controller of the personal data described here. We are registered in England and Wales under company number 08744241, with our registered office at 2 Frederick Street, London WC1X 0ND. Our office is at 1 Kingdom Street, London W2 6BD.

For anything about your data, write to [email protected].

What we collect

  • When you contact us: your name, work email, company, phone number if you give it, and what you tell us in your message.
  • When you subscribe to the briefing: your email address.
  • When you apply to the associate network: your name, contact details, the CV you upload and what you tell us about your experience.
  • When you use the marketplace or ask for an assessment: the details you enter in that form.
  • When you become a client: the information needed to run the engagement, including the people at your firm we work with.

We do not use analytics or advertising tools on this website, and we do not buy personal data.

Why we use it, and on what basis

  • To reply to your enquiry and prepare a proposal: because you asked us to, and to take steps before a contract.
  • To deliver work for clients: to perform our contract with you or your firm.
  • To send the briefing: with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time with the unsubscribe link or by writing to us.
  • To consider associate applications: our legitimate interest in finding specialists to work with.
  • To keep records and meet legal duties: where the law requires it, for example tax and accounting records.

Who we share it with

We share personal data only with the service providers that run our website and email, under contracts that limit what they may do with it:

  • Cloudflare, which hosts this website and passes form submissions to us.
  • Resend, which delivers form submissions to our inbox.
  • Google, which provides our email.

If you message us on WhatsApp or Telegram, those services handle your messages under their own terms.

We share client information with a regulator, a bank or another adviser only where the client has asked us to or the law requires it. We never sell personal data.

Transfers outside the UK

Some of these providers process data in the United States or elsewhere outside the UK. Where they do, the transfer is covered by UK adequacy regulations or by the UK international data transfer agreement or addendum.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that do not lead to work: up to two years from your last contact.
  • Briefing subscriptions: until you unsubscribe.
  • Associate applications: up to two years, unless you ask us to delete yours sooner.
  • Client records: six years after the engagement ends, for legal and accounting purposes.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, or to move it to someone else. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Write to [email protected] and we will reply within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. We would welcome the chance to put it right first.

Security

The website is served over an encrypted connection and form submissions go straight to our inbox. Access to client information is limited to the people working on the engagement.
